Platform engineering & product launch
How do we build and launch a product that actually scales?
An enterprise CX and customer data platform for e-commerce brands, built and owned by Softlancer.
- Client
- Wapikit
- Sector
- E-commerce SaaS
- Solutions
- Business Platforms & Applications, Customer Engagement Infrastructure
- Result
- Concept to commercialised SaaS in 10 months
The situation
Not a client engagement. Wapikit is our own product, taken from an idea to a commercially sold platform, and the reason our platform advice comes with consequences we live with rather than hand over.
What we did
Built as a real product from the start: multi-tenant from the first schema, billing and auth solved once, background work on a durable queue, and the integration surface treated as a first-class part of the system rather than as a later phase.
What was built
Platform
- Multi-tenant application and data model
- Background job processing for high-volume messaging
- Commerce integrations as first-class connectors
Product surface
- Customer data platform and segmentation
- Lifecycle and post-purchase journeys
- Analytics and revenue attribution
What changed
- Sold commercially as a standalone SaaS product, with its own brand and customers
